Expanding International Cooperation and Exchange

In its progress toward 2050 net zero transition, Taiwan continues to deepen international cooperation, guided by the core principle of “Connecting the World, Co-creating Sustainability,” actively working with global partners to advance climate action and green transformation.

The Taiwan Ministry of Environment, following principles of openness, professionalism, and reciprocity, promotes multilateral and bilateral cooperation, establishing long-term partnerships with foreign governments, international organizations, and corporate partners. Focus areas include carbon pricing, renewable energy, climate finance, technological innovation, and adaptation actions. Taiwan continuously expands policy dialogue and knowledge exchange, demonstrating its capacity and responsibility in international climate governance.

Meanwhile, through multi-level cooperation and public-private collaboration, Taiwan integrates climate diplomacy, green investment and financing, and capacity-building as core drivers of sustainable development. From aid programs under international cooperation development foundations to global participation of cities, industries, and civil society, Taiwan shares experiences through concrete actions, facilitates exchanges, and contributes to climate resilience and emission reduction transitions in other countries.

Through these cooperative networks and partner initiatives, Taiwan not only demonstrates its commitment to global climate governance, also engages with the international community pragmatically and proactively, promoting just transition and green growth, jointly moving the world toward a sustainable net zero future.
