The 30th Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC COP 30) will be held from Nov. 10-21, 2025, in Belém, Brazil. It is organized by the UNFCCC and co-hosted by the Federal Government of Brazil and the Government of the State of Pará.

This COP30 marks a critical stage in the implementation of the Paris Agreement, focusing on the submission of a new goal of 2035 Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) by Paties and discussing follow-up actions and supportive mechanisms based on the outcomes of the first Global Stocktake(GST). The COP30 themes are centered on Implementation, Inclusion, and Innovation, highlighting the symbolic connection between the Amazonia rainforest and the interdependence of ecological conservation and climate governance.

To advance the shift from commitment to action, the COP 30 will feature a series of Thematic Days and Side Events covering topics such as climate finance, energy transition, forest regeneration, food security, and just social transition, fostering multilateral dialogue and cooperation among nations, cities, and businesses.

Taiwan’s Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Administration continue to follow up the COP 30 focusing agenda and are pro-actively planning practical participation in related meetings and exhibits to showcase Taiwan’s ambitions in net zero transition, carbon pricing mechanisms, and green growth, while deepening substantive experience exchanges and international cooperation.
